Trans Awareness Workshop London

A GenderShift Trans Awareness Workshop is available in London most months - We also hold workshops throughout the Yorkshire and the Humber area most weeks.

This entertaining and informative workshop is designed to assist organisations in meeting their obligations under the Gender Equality Duty (GED) to take appropriate action to prevent discrimination and harassment of trans people and promote equal opportunities.

Many people have never knowingly met a trans person and their experiences are often based on negative comments and confusing labels, jargon and myths about differing trans experiences. This interactive event explores the colourful history and changing rights of trans people through lecture, discussion, group exercises, handouts, on-line resources and a unique question and answer session in which trans people will answer all your questions, "no matter how personal. (All questions are asked anonymously).

Developed by professional speaker and trainer Rikki Arundel, herself a trans woman and masters graduate in gender research, the workshop has been delivered throughout Yorkshire and the Humber region since 2007. In-house workshops are delivered throughout the UK.
